BlueVishnu 3D Event xxperience™

The BlueVishnu 3D Event xxperience™ is a full-service, turnkey, 3D event experience. We are ready to plug into your event.

1

Wind us up and point us in the right direction

We show up with everything we need to build and operate the full 3D xxperience™.

Just connect us with your logistics or production partners or simply tell us where and when we can take it from there.

Below are some considerations and technical specs for our event scanner that will help you plan for success.

2

Optionally Design custom renders and deliverables

We scan and process the 3D models on site. We also render a 3D clip that can be shared on social media. The render can be a completely customized 3D scene that is used for each person scanned and provides a high impact, personalized branded deliverable that can be shared. We also provide ready to go scenes that don’t need any customization at all.

3

Consider additional 2D or 3D LED displays

While we are a complete set up, it’s nice to show off the 3D on site in larger than life LED displays. We work with production partners that are able to build out 2D or 3D LED walls in nearly any size.

Already have a media server? We can automagicly send our renders to your media server for display.

  • HERE’S SOME GUIDELINES ON WHAT TO WEAR FOR THE BEST SCANS.

Avoid large areas of solid colors with no texture. For example a single color unitard with no pattern will not scan well.

    Avoid shiny reflective materials.

Hair should be fitted into a single shape if possible. Braids or pony tails work well. The scanner can’t pick up individual hairs, so they will read as noise.

  • We recommend 6-10 stanchion/rope sets with stanchion signs for queueing.

  • While our scanner is capable of capturing more than 2 people per minute; there are some considerations.

  • This is a good opportunity to set expectations and offer suggestions on how to utilize the scan.

Technical Specs

BlueVishnu 3D Event xxperience™ Scanner

  • The event scanner is a 12.5’ x 12’ diameter circle. If an ADA compliant entrance is required, additional space is needed to support the opening. See ADA Compliant Entrance section on this page for a technical drawing and details.

Server Rack: Additionally there is space needed for a server rack (30” x 30” x 60” tall). The rack does not need to be directly attached to the array; it can be placed backstage, or at a distance, but it needs to be connected by 3 cat-6 cables. We can provide all cables, but will need to know the distance to prep the cable lengths in advance.

Queue: The scanner can draw a crown and additional space is recommended for queue management. We recommend at least 6-10 stanchion/ rope sets with stanchion signs for queueing.

Displays: We have 2 optional vertically mounted 55” TV monitors on stands. These can be placed in front of the array and are great for showing people’s 3D renders.

  • We need 6 hours of setup and testing before the array is ready to scan. This is from the time all cases are loaded into the install location.

Additional time may be needed to account for loading in/ loading dock delays, etc. See below for details.

  • Scanner: We need (2) 20A circuits at the rear of the array (rear is located at the top of the drawing)

Server Rack: We need a minimum of (1) 20A circuit at the server rack

Displays: All displays can share (1) 20A circuit. If displays are placed adjacent to the scanner, just add (1) additional 20A circuit to the rear of the scanner and we will distribute power. If displays are positioned away front the scanner, we will need power run to each display.

  • We need a WIRED connection to the internet provided via a cat 5e or better cable dropped at the rear of the array.

The connection should have dedicated bandwidth of 10 Mbps or greater. If necessary, please prioritize connection stability over speed. (e.g., we would prefer a dedicated 10Mbps connection over a shared 1Gbps connection)

  • Travel within the greater Los Angeles area can typically be done at the same day as the set-up day.

For travel within the United States, please allow for a travel day in addition to the set-up day.

For international travel, we use a logistics partner. Each destination may require additional timing or logistics.

  • Please allow for additional time to schedule if dock time needs to be reserved, and union labor is required for transport from dock to set-up location.

Please note that while we love our union friends, only authorized BlueVishnu scanner technicians are allowed to set up, operate, or break down the scanner.

  • If space allows, we find it helpful to have a desk set up for technicians to monitor renders and processing.

  • The scanner travels in approximately 25 cases depending on configuration. Cases will need to be stored while the scanner is in operation.

If the scanner is to remain on site overnight, a secure location, or security detail will be required.

  • The array is equipped with a ADA compliant entrance that may be used if needed. Operation of the entrance requires a new calibration before and after the subject has entered the array. This process can take up to 5 minutes and should be factored in when calculating total throughput goals.
